Last week I met with Rodrigo Flores-Roux, the nose behind
two distinct takes on jasmine composed by the Master of white flowers. Each one creates a singular mood; one is bright and solar, a morning blooming jasmine with magnolia, citrus, vetiver and patchouli. The other, a simmering night-blooming jasmine with suede and the coumarin hay scent of flouveodorante. Both contain FRASSAÏ’s signature ingredient: maté absolute, lifting and supporting the floralcy with grace.
We had a wonderful #smellsession and are already planning our next perfume, so keep an eye and your nose out!👃🏼
Crema de vainilla. Cuero. Narciso. Whisky añejado. Roble. Tabaco
To celebrate International Woman's Day, I thought I'd share some of the women who inspire me on a daily basis. We all shine brighter when we lift each other up. Who inspires you?
Christine is a lifestyle coach and the founder of ana-hob beauty along with her sister Kim. She has the most uplifting smile I have ever seen! She is always looking to support and enlighten other women. And with her new coaching practice she is doing this more than ever!
Christine wears Verano Porteño & Tian Di and lights up Ada in her sunny Tampa home.
From Utah to Paris with a long layover in New York, Roxanne has relentlessly pursued her dream of becoming a nose. From our days smelling raw materials together in New York to collaborating on a candle collection, we have seen each other's journeys evolve. We are now developing a very special fragrance together that will be launching later this year (you heard it first!)
Roxanne burns Marlene, Clifford and Ada, three of her candle creations for FRASSAÏ.
Although she is modeling Frassaï's Nüwa collection, Irina is actually a nose. We first met in the perfumery world over a decade ago. She is incredibly generous and profoundly talented. A true gem of a mother, professional and friend.
When not wearing one of her own perfume creations, Irina wears Tian Di. She also burns Ada candles in her adopted Hong Kong (and always has a snuffer around because her son loves putting candles out!). She can often be seen walking around with many our jewelry pieces.
Who inspires you?
When I met Lisa from The Style Theory, I knew we would collaborate together. We had the best time at the #TSTCPopUp - The Future is Female - last October 7th. We unveiled our new eau de parfum collection! Here are some photos from the event in case you missed it (or were there with us and want to relive the fun!).

Champagne bottles and flowers are overplayed. Why not go for something more personal when choosing a gift for your host or hostess. Scented candles and home accessories are our go-to choices. Find out why below...
It's less difficult than you think to choose a great candle for your host/hostess. You may already know what kind of scents the person likes, in which case you can pick up a fragrance with tons of personality, like Gustav (a fiery blend of spices and sensual notes) or Marlene (a masterful blend of leather, tobacco, vanilla cream and aged Scotch whisky).
If you are not sure, you can play it safe with soft floral notes, like in Bebel. This is our best-selling candle for self-gifting and is adored particularly by women. Although men love it too. What is not to love about Brazil? Bebel is inspired by exotic tropical ingredients and the sounds of bossa nova. Peonies, guava juice, watery pear and sandalwood will let you travel to paradise without leaving your house; or your host's! Since this is meant to be a gift... right?
A more classical approach to fragrance is Ada, where dewy green leaves softly caress the whitest gardenia. This is a sure way to prolong summer all year long. This floral candle will swoon any white flower lovers (gardenia, jasmine, white violets are the main fragrance notes).
If looking for something more masculine, like a smoky leather reminiscent of a jazz club, Clifford will do. Its notes of suede, incense and saffron will fill the room with delight even while it's not burning.
Candles are indeed a wonderful and thoughtful present that indicate you've actually made an effort. We love pairing any of our scents with home accessories that are beautiful and useful as well, like our copper candle wick trimmer and the chicest snuffer you'll ever see (put out your candle with style!).
A candleholder is the ultimate luxurious gift. When you are ready to take it up a notch, gift your host a hand-finished solid copper candleholder. The base of lenga wood will not only look pretty but will also protect the surface. After burning the candle, your host will appreciate filling the copper vessel with fresh flowers before replacing with a new candle scent.
Nüwa (nỳ wá; Chinese: 女媧), is a goddess in ancient Chinese mythology best known for creating mankind and repairing the pillar of heaven.
The new collection, inspired by the nurturing and transformative energy of the female goddess, is beautiful and mysterious. The shapes are delicate yet powerful, suggestive of the feminine figures bringing life into the world. Each form is highly auspicious, representing the renewing energy of the universe. Organic necklaces and earrings are paired with modern crown rings and graceful bracelets. Deeply intuitive and protective, the jewelry pieces will transport you to a world where myths are unveiled.
A relaxing weekend with Clifford, the ultimate woody incense scent accompanied by Bolero rings and our cult Fragrance Flacon necklace •
