Blondine is a sweet, musky, floral fragrance for men and women; which is said to be a seductive and playful fragrance, crafted to intrigue the senses — inspired by the 1920’s French fairy tale. This fascinating fragrance is both spirited and tantalizing; which personally, I find absolutely gorgeous! It smells delightful, sensual and totally irresistible! Blondine performs very well, it’s incredibly well-blended; although this is the type of fragrance that might be challenging for most men to wear, due to its pronounced floral presence, I am undoubtedly enamored by its scent. This fragrance could be worn casually, but I prefer to save this one for special occasions. Day or night, this decadent and provocative fragrance will delight your senses with its soft, alluring and ethereal beauty.

Orange flower and black currant entice the senses, while a pulse of nocturnal jasmine intoxicates and envelopes, culminating in a sensuous bed of balsam and suede. A Fuego Lento imparts an addictive, heady, sweet and sultry trail…

"(a) warm burst of chocolate cake and spices"
This past week I have been sampling fragrances by New York fragrance house FRASSAÏ. Natalia Outeda created @frassai with @givaudanperfumeperfumers Yann Vasnier, Olivier Gillotin, @rodrigofloresrouxand Roxanne Kirkpatrick. Natalia’s focus for her brand is a sustainable and cruelty-free collection that is inspired by her experiences living in Argentina and the U.S. There are currently five fragrances in the collection. Stockist details are on Frassaï’s website.
Tian Di runs a sharp spicy incense note in parallel with a velvety, woody note that has facets of powder and an overlay of fuzzy peach skin.
Blondine has soft floral notes with delicate and ethereal musk. The fragrance also has cocoa and a salted butter caramel accord. This description sounds sweet but the gourmand notes (thankfully) don’t overpower the rest of the fragrance.
A Fuego Lento is a limited edition fragrance in the collection. It’s a solar white floral that radiates orange flower and jasmine sambac. Jasmine’s creaminess has been intensified, leading nicely into a warm base of tolu balsam and a suede accord.
For me Teisenddu is the most intriguing fragrance in the collection. Inspiration came from torta negra, a cake made with rum, dried fruit and nuts. 19th century Welsh immigrants who settled in Patagonia introduced the cake to Argentina. Teisenddu will be available in the US from December and features a spicy fresh kick of juniper and nutmeg before notes of rum, dark sugar and leather take over.
My favourite fragrance in the collection is Verano Porteño. Created by perfumer Rodrigo Flores-Roux, the fragrance is a celebration of summer in Buenos Aires when the streets come alive with the scent of jasmine. There is something so catchy in this fragrance. The hook comes from a bitter green citrus note that pairs perfectly with jasmine. This citrus note with Calabrian bergamot is fizzy, energetic and to me it offers up something a little bit salty. This leads to dewy petals of jasmine on a backdrop of vetiver and ambrette seed. This is how I want my summer to smell!
FRASSAÏ BLONDINE, TIAN DI AND VERANO PORTEÑO REVIEWED BY CASSIANO SILVA OF PERFUMART BRAZIL.
Lauryn Beer, senior editor at Cafleurebon walks us through her experience as she samples A Fuego Lento eau de parfum.
“While the bright lushness of its early stages recedes, A Fuego Lento lingers for many hours. The orange blossom-coumarin meld into a dreamy sensuality and the animal notes purr quietly like the fading strains of the guitar. A fragrance that pulls you where lights are low and couples disappear into the darkest corners of the dance floor. Notes: Blackcurrant buds, orange flower, jasmine sambac, civet, suede, flouve odorante, tolu balsam.”

"Delicious... brilliantly original, and brilliantly executed..." Teisenddu (Frassaï) **** Luca Turin Perfumes the Guide
What happens when a true historical and family story is so riveting that it inspires a #perfume? And the #fragrance is every good as the tale? @frassai #teisenddu composed by #roxannekirkpatrick a young #Givaudan perfumer who studied with #oliviergillotin met #nataliaouteda in NY and two powerful women cocreated an equally powerful #fragrance. Based on a tale of the clipper ship Mimosa that brought 153 #welsh people to #patagoniaargentina in 1865, the scent is named for the #tortanegra of Natalia's youth. This darkly gourmand perfume is more than a sweet treat, complex with mossy, leathery and a nod to #mimosa. As summer wanes and we crave cozy scents this is one you will want in your collection.Read More

Me abraza, me susurra, me acaricia. No para de sorprenderme. A veces mas nuez. A veces cuero.
Blondine by Frassaï
Rating: 5 out of possible 5 bones
Blondine graces the skin with a smooth buttery cream that’s deep without being heavy.
There’s a dreamy quality that embodies the perfume and it seems to hover over you as if it’s part of your natural aura.

Frassaï • Blondine __ 1981
Which one is your #sotd?)
Frassaï • Blondine
1981 Spring. A postal officer found an envelope. It's been six months. Inside the envelope the letter says: with love, n... and the scent on paper. Gentle and calm. Light and shrill... _smells like a love message. A little awe of reading and emotion. _notes of tiger lilies and pear leaf give the scent a gentle beginning. Ashoka, cocoa and caramel in the heart. And the base of white musk and suede.
"Skinlove #tiandi @frassai new fox favourite from sensual jewellery & perfume house founded by Argentine @natalia_ou Fine jewellery must configure a unique relationship with skin in order to succeed, something many jewellers neglect, this connection to flesh, heat and reflection, the mutability of pieces. • • Natalia was born in Buenos Aries, relocating to NYC when she was young before returning to Argentina in 2012. A background in fine fragrance creation and floristry led to the creation of Frassaï and now a trio of fine perfumes launching last year. These are graceful compositions with a sense of luxe architecture to them. Lush trembling #veranoporteño by Rodrigo Flores-Roux is sublime and there is creamy gourmand #blondine by Yann Vasnier who always imparts a flare of 80’s Polaroid to his compositions. • • My favourite is Tian Di, by Olivier Gillotin who made 10 Corso Como, Balenciaga’s Cristobal and Tom Ford’s Tobacco Vanille. Wow…!!...the dirty smoked peach tea rush at the star is glorious. If it were music I’d loop it endlessly. Underlying this peachiness is a mordancy of chrysanthemums; petals finger-crushed. • • One of my favourite parts of Tian Di is a whisper of vintage cigarettes dipped in peach liquor; this ghost-tobacco perhaps the flow of Tonkin musk through smoke. Whatever it is, before it leaves, it is heavenly. Then a sudden muting, a sense of dust and cracked sandalwood. Delicate peach tea gently brewed with Chinese spices and fumed with incense. Galbanum and orris add mulch and powder to a scent that reaches quietly from earth to heaven. Tian Di lasts for hours on the skin, soft and tremulous, but it is there, almost beyond reach and then you catch it, like a sudden unexpected memory. •"
ADA Candle by FRASSAI (8.5 oz $60) This candle is so gorgeous; gardenia, jasmine, freesia, white violets, and dewy green leaves. It smells like a lush green floral garden of everything delicate in the world. I love that it does not smell synthetic at all. The founder is also a true joy, you can tell she puts a lot of passion into her brand and products.
The lovely Ana @anayelperfume shares her poetic impressions of Tian Di 🌸 #scentedjourney
Founded as a jewel house, in Buenos Aires by Natalia Outeda, frassaï extended its activity by adding a line of candles and, in 2017, three perfumes created in collaboration with perfumers Yann Vasnier, Rodrigo Flores Roux and Olivier Gillotin.
After an intensive testing of their perfume line, which at the moment include Tian Di, Blondine and Verano Porteño, i must say that Tian Di is my very favorite.
"In a garden hidden by clouds, on the mythical Mount Kunlun, Xiwangmu’s peach tree is a cosmic ladder that connects heaven and earth. Once every 3000 years the peaches ripen, and a lavish banquet is held. Offered to deities and royalty alike, it is said that the mere scent of this divine fruit grants immortality. With simple elegance and subdued beauty, Tian Di invites this mystical communion with a ritual in fragrance. Earthy incense, rich green flowers, peach elixir and calming woods culminate to open the mind, purify the body and awaken the spirit."

BLONDINE She – flowers of spring bloom in this perfume, unexpectedly lavish and oriental. There’s definitely a pear present here, but above all – the most unusual collaboration between white flowers and cocoa, only possible in dreams, or a myth, as they would never grow together in reality. Wonderful and multi-faceted perfume, with ever-changing face.
TIAN DI She – Wonderfun (:D), earthy iris in the opening – carrot and hibiscus seeds anyone? Fresh ginger and galbanum add a vibrant green feel to it, beautifully prolonged by citrusy aspects of olibanum. The peach is so abstract here at first that I find it almost unrecognizable, as if she were wearing a mask – but then in incorporates, gains weight and buttery, celestial texture. Festive and meditative at once, this perfume is my favourite of the three.
VERANO PORTEÑO He – So green! It combines classic green, crispy citrus and woody elements with dash of subtle flowers and aromatic spices. Result is nostalgic, yet somehow full of energy and joy of life – I imagine it really evokes its brief story.
